ELECTRICAL LABS

BASIC ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS:

This laboratory is intended to familiarize students with the fundamental procedures of electrical laboratory measurements. Experiments are designed to illustrate basic electrical circuit theory concepts for linear and non-linear resistive circuits, simple dynamic circuits, and single-phase linear AC circuits. This laboratory is used for undergraduate electronics, logic design and telecommunications experiments.

ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY:
Electrical Machine Lab is mainly dedicated for undergraduate programme.  This lab provides the students with experimental verification of the theoretical concepts studied in the two courses, Electrical Machine-I and Electrical Machine-II.  Major equipment include DC Motors, Synchronous Motor, Auto Transformer, Induction Motor etc. This laboratory makes contribution towards final year project work in the area of Electrical Machines & Drives and also for consultancy services of testing and rating of 3 phase induction motors, capacitors and transformers.

SWITCHGEAR & PROTECTION LABORATORY:

Switchgear laboratory is enriched with various model of relays like differential relay, Earth fault relay, over voltage & Over Current Relay. One of the major equipment in this laboratory is Transformer Oil testing Equipment System. This laboratory help students to understand the faults occurring in practical power system.

POWER ELECTRONICS LABORATORY:

The Power Electronics and Drives lab is well equipped to offer UG/Research Studies in the area of Power Electronics applications to energy conversion. The major equipment’s include Power Semiconductor Devices, Integrated Power Modules, SCR Commutation Circuits, Series Inverter Circuits and Control Modules.

NETWORK ANALYSIS LABORATORY:

The lab is designed to cater to the needs of students undergoing training on the steady state responses of electrical circuits and the measuring techniques during the 3rd Semester. This lab provides the students the experimental verification of the theorems studied in the theory course.

ELECTRICAL INSRUMENTATION LABORATORY:

This lab provides the students with 'hands-on' experience in Analog System Design and Digital System Design, also this laboratory plays an important role in understanding and appreciating the concepts of electronic circuits. This lab is equipped with digital oscilloscopes, function generators, dual output power supply, digital multi-meters and digital trainer kits.

SIMULATION LABORATORY:

The laboratory has also been equipped with   internationally accepted simulation software like MATLAB, P-spice, Express PCB. Facility that each student can get the facility to operate on individual system. Internet Speed is 100 mbps & Wi-Fi connectivity is also provided.
