Pre-Engineering Test

Candidates aspiring admission in the B. E. degree courses in any engineering institute of the state should take up the Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test (MP-PET) conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (www.vyapam.nic.in). To become eligible for this test a candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) scoring 50% or above as per AICTE norms. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply for this exam.

MP-PET Based Admission

The state counseling authority, under the directorate of technical education organization online admission procedures for which the details can be viewed in www.dtempcounselling.org, www.mponline.gov.in. The online procedure mainly comprises of the following steps:

• Document verification only for Reserved Candidate of Madhya Pradesh.
• Online Registration of all the students in www.mponline.gov.in.
• Online Preference/Choice Filling and Part Payment of Tuition Fee.
• Online Allotment.
• Reporting at Allotted Institute and Document Verification. (The document required in institute are MP-PET Mark-sheet.; 10th Class Mark-sheet; 12th Class Mark-sheet; M.P. Domicile; Cast Certificate; Admission Slip)

Allotment of Vacant Seats after MP_PET Based Admission

The vacant seats in the above process are normally filled by the eligible 12th pass candidates of the state and out of the state, who have not appeared in MP-PET, first by the process of online counseling and later at institute level counseling. The rules for these procedures are normally declared by the counseling authority in their website while the counseling is ongoing.
