India’s real and sustainable growth is possible with technological advancement and development of its human resources. The role of engineers is in the areas like mechanical, construction, electrical, software; automation etc. assumes so much of importance. Modern advance technology has made the world a level playing field. In the globalization era, engineers should be able to perform in a larger environment and are expected to face the challenges and find appropriate solutions in any given situation. Thus they have a greater scope to exhibit their skills and to compete at national and international level.

Technology is changing is for betterment, making lives simpler and easy to live, processing faster, aiding in decision making, converting luxuries to affordability and making the impossible seem possible. The current scenario in the local, national and international level is of intense competition with equal opportunity to all. It is hence, essential for our students to be competent to face the global challenges. The key to meet the demand for such quality engineers remains in providing holistic engineering education system.
